When putting together this page, I wanted to make it short and sweet -- pick out the things that I'm most passionate about. But while trying to determine what those things were, I realized I'm passionate about life, every bit of it. I love to learn and experience and take what is presented to me and run with it. Life is never dull in the McLain house. Being one of five girls, my dad always tells us there's not a day that goes by he doesn't learn something new from us. Can you tell we're sisters? All of our high school teachers still get our names mixed up!

Forming relationships and experiencing new cultures is one of my favorite things to do. In my 21 years on this earth, I've been to 7 countries and 32 states and I've already got plans for this to grow.

My mind is always running on overdrive, coming up with some new creation and nothing is more satisfying than putting those ideas into action. I've picked up many hobbies over the years and I have yet to find one I don't love: I design and make earrings and clothing, run a blog, write poetry, draw and paint, do photography, etc. My mom and I just made a craft room in our house and I haven't left since.

My faith is always at the center of everything I do and what makes everyday of mine brighter. Since finding the Lord in 2016, the world has become so much more beautiful and some of my best and most rewarding memories have come from the mission trips I've been on and with the people I've met along the way.

This was a furry friend I met while doing hurricane relief down in Florida.

Probably my greatest love... Don't talk to me until I've had my coffee. I'm always finding new recipes to try, and one of my favorite things to do on the weekend is visit a coffee shop from my list with a friend (yes, of course I have a coffee bucket list -- don't you?).

Fun fact: I have cholinergic urticaria, a.k.a."heat hives." When my body over heats from anything, I get a red rash (no it doesn't itch and I don't even notice until I see it). But you can bet I'll never ever have a hot coffee, I'm a dedicated iced coffee gal and I'm a sucker for a good iced Miel.

My biggest creative outlet is in my wardrobe. I always find so much inspiration in other people's outfits. Fashion is art and I love everything about it. I love it so much that I taught myself how to sew my freshman year of college. Since then, I've designed and made many of my own pieces. I also began sharing my passion for fashion with everyone via my Instagram blog maddys.closet.xoxo where I post my latest and greatest fashion finds, tips and tricks.
